Christian County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the agency that created or holds the record for an answer.

Christian County Records Contacts

The Sheriff’s Office is the first contact for county custody, bond procedure, and a county booking or photo request. Its formal records path is written FOIA. The reviewed official pages do not publish a regular public office-hours schedule for every records question, so call before visiting.

Where to Send Each Question

Choose the office by record type. A city police report and a county booking record may concern the same arrest but are not the same record.

  • For a booking record, booking photo, county custody, or bond procedure, start with the Christian County Sheriff and FOIA path.
  • For a Taylorville incident or arrest report, contact Taylorville Police at 108 West Vine Street, (217) 824-2211, or its records clerk. Taylorville’s FOIA form accepts defined city-record requests.
  • For a Pana report, contact Pana Police at 118 East 3rd Street, (217) 562-2141, or route a request through the Pana city clerk at (217) 562-3626.
  • For an Assumption report, contact Assumption Police at 110 West Second Street, (217) 226-4060, or use the city FOIA officer at 229 North Chestnut Street, P.O. Box 106, Assumption, Illinois 62510.
  • For a court case, hearing, bond event, or disposition, use the Circuit Clerk or the county-linked Judici search.
  • For a sentenced state-prison record, use the Illinois Department of Corrections search. For federal custody, use the BOP locator; for immigration custody, use the ICE locator.

How to Make a Useful Request

A specific request is easier for an office to locate and review. Include the name as known, incident or booking date, location, arresting agency, report or case number, and the exact record type. Ask for an existing booking or arrest photograph if one is maintained and releasable. Do not ask the agency to create a new mugshot compilation.

  1. Identify whether the need is current custody, a historical booking, a city report, a court result, or a state or federal record.
  2. Name the likely custodian and provide the narrowest date and event details available.
  3. Ask about delivery, fees, exemptions, and the response route before sending sensitive material.
  4. Compare a booking response with the court disposition and label the custody state at the time of the search.

For a possible warrant, use the official Sheriff or Clerk route or ask a lawyer. The Sheriff’s Most Wanted and warrant page explains why a copied listing or payment demand is not confirmation.
